Madam Butterfly visits Sydney Swimart stores
Swimart ambassador Susie O’Neill raises funds for the Ku-ring-gai Youth Development Service (KYDS)
Swimmers of all ages had the chance to meet multiple gold, silver and bronze medal-winning Olympic swimmer Susie O’Neill – aka Madam Butterfly – when she spent the day at Swimart Lindfield and St Ives stores in Sydney last month.
With the 2012 Olympic Games just over a year away, this was a unique opportunity to hear Swimart’s ambassador share her Olympic Games experiences and also to raise funds for the Ku-ring-gai Youth Development Service (KYDS).
Swimart and Lindfield Rotary Club held a sausage sizzle at the stores and at the end of the day over raised over $500 for KYDS, a charity which provides education, harm minimisation and early intervention programs to thousands of young people on Sydney’s north shore.
Pool owners were also able to take advantage of Swimart’s end of season sale, with some great discounts on a range of pool equipment and accessories.
The day was a real success and we would like to thank Susie for her ongoing support.
